Do I need to read music?
No. Every progression comes with tabs (PDF and Guitar Pro) and chord diagrams on screen. The notation is there if you want it, but you never need it.
Is this for beginners?
It's for late beginners and up. If you can play bar chords, you're ready: 7th chords, extensions, fingerpicking and the theory are all taught along the way. If bar chords are still a struggle, get those under your fingers first.
