Bad habits take months to unlearn. Let's not pick them up.

Most beginners pick up their bad habits in the first week, then spend months fighting the guitar. Here everything comes in the right order, from the first time you hold it, so there is nothing to unlearn later.

The transformation.

What changes in your first month.

Random videos, no plan

You know what to practise

A clear path in the right order. You always know what today's twenty minutes are for, and why it matters.

Sore fingers, buzzing strings

The guitar stops fighting you

Posture, grip and fingertips sorted on day one, so chords ring clean and your hand isn't sore after ten minutes.

Practice feels like a chore

Practice feels rewarding

A song in week one, a new chord or pattern every lesson, and real progress you can hear every time you sit down.

You explain this so well, very clear and accurate, thank you. I just picked up a guitar for the first time in many years and you are helping drive my motivation forward.

Always love how you structure, build and teach your lessons. Beginners will definitely get a lot from this and even as an intermediate player I enjoyed it as well.

You explain concepts in a clear and easily digestible manner.

Your first five songs. Your first two melodies.

Not just boring lessons. You start strumming straight away, in Lesson 1, and you learn actual songs, taught the beginner way: the rhythm, the change that trips you up, a slow play-through, then the full one.

Is this for you?

It's for complete beginners, with no shortcuts. If you have a guitar and twenty minutes a day, you're ready.

This is for you if

  • You just got a guitar, or you're about to, and you've never had a lesson.
  • You tried before, learnt a few things from videos, and it never quite clicked.
  • You can play a bit but you know your posture, your pick grip or your chord changes are a mess.
  • You have an acoustic, an electro-acoustic, a classical or an electric. Any of them works.

Not for you if

  • You already play bar chords comfortably. The full Beginner Course, coming early 2027, starts where this one ends.
  • You want to skip ahead. The lessons are in order for a reason.
Simone, The Bearded Guitarist, smiling with his acoustic guitar in his studio

Hi, I'm Simone.

I'm a guitarist and content creator based in London. I've spent over 15 years teaching private lessons to thousands of students, many of them complete beginners, and I've watched the same handful of bad habits slow nearly every one of them down.

In 2020 I started sharing my lessons on YouTube. Since then I've collaborated with over 20 guitar companies and built a community of 595K+ players across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

This course is at least two months of the lessons I'd give you in person, at a fraction of the price: in order, with nothing skipped and nothing to unlearn. Whatever you want to play one day, your foundation will be rock solid.

Simone

P.S. On the fence? You're covered by the 14-day guarantee, and what you pay now counts towards the full Beginner Course in 2027.

Questions

Do I need an acoustic guitar?
No. Acoustic, electro-acoustic, classical or electric, the course works on any of them. Lesson 1 shows you which one you have and what, if anything, changes.
I've never touched a guitar. Is this really for me?
Yes, that's exactly who it's for. Lesson 1 starts with the parts of the guitar and how to sit with it, and you're strumming your first chord before the lesson ends.
How long will it take me?
It's self-paced. Some students finish in two weeks, some in two months. The only rule is a little every day, one lesson at a time.
What do I need besides a guitar?
A free tuner app or a clip-on tuner, a free metronome app, a capo (used from Lesson 11), and a few medium picks. That's it.
Do I need to read music?
No. Chord diagrams are explained from scratch in Lesson 3 and tab in Lesson 7, the moment you need them. There's no standard notation to learn.
What's the full Beginner Course?
The next step, coming early 2027: bar chords properly, sus and add chords, 16th-note strumming, more fingerpicking and full songs with their structure. If you take this course, what you paid is credited towards it.
Is this a subscription?
No. One payment, lifetime access, including every future update to the course.
What if it's not for me?
Email me within 14 days and I'll refund you in full. No forms, no questions.
